I have a AOpen Mainboard with built in video. I am running Windows ME. The PC is a backup unless something happens. When I start it the onboard video card makes the screen flicker (verical scan rate to low, but dont have a higher setting) .
I go into the BIOS and disable the On-board video, restart and the Nvidia Video card works for the startup, byt once it kicks over to my desktop, the screen goes black and wont come back on. Why is it doing this????|||Try booting up in safe mode, tehn check the refresh/scan rate and resolution. You may have set the card up to something the monitor can't support. Right click on teh desktopm and properties and settings and advanced and monitor and check the box that says "hide modes this monitor can't display).
You also need to make sure all the drivers are installed correctly.
