What to think about when buying a video card?

I want to grab a video card but I have no clue on how to find something enough to upgrade me to play arma 2. I want decent graphics and a steady frame rate. I plan on getting a graphics card but my budget will be around $100 i want to know what i need to keep in mind when buying a video card.

My specs are RaM:2 GB, integrated video card, vista 32 bit. PCI express X16

COMPUTER: HP pavilion a6112n , (specs can be found online)

Any suggestions on what i can get that will run arma 2 well. I hear people saying it takes alot so Is it possible with my budget, and if so, what card should i get. I dont want to buy a card if it will not work on my PC.|||Nvidia Geforce 7800 or higher to play, so it would run great on a GeForce 9800 GT.

I put an Nvidia 8600 EN (made by Asus) two years ago, and it runs well - but struggles a bit with hignest settings on Crysis - though generally runs the game very nicely with optimised settings (great video, but not maximum settings). At the price (about $150 at the time I bought that one) I wouldn't say it's worth spending much more - about $150 will put you into a very nice bracket. I'm very glad I didn't spend less.

Taking a quick look online, for about 100 you can get something like the ASUS EN9800 - and that would be perfect. I might think about upgrading myself in another year or two, but I think my old 8600 will be good for another year or two yet.|||Check how much Mb Or brand
