Would this video card XFX GeForce GTX 260 Video Card - 896MB DDR3 work well with my power supply?

My power supply is a Thermaltake Purepower 500w power supply

the system requirements for the card are 500W PCI Express-compliant system power supply with a combined 12V current rating of 36A or more

im not sure what that means but i hope it will work|||Yrah, you should be fine. Just do not add miscelaneous things like another optical drive or hdd. the PCIexpress compinant power supply is like the one below in the link. It just needs another power plug that conects to the video card exclusively. See PCI-E connector. Only one is needed but since most mlb's support dual video cards most poer supply'a hve two PCI-E power connectors. Good luck .|||You are very borderline. I would not recommend it. It all depends on how many fans you have, hard drives, cd-roms, etc. For the GTX 260 I would like to see atleast a 40A rail and 650w power supply to be comfortable. You can try it but, like I said may have problems.
