Im thinking on getting this Video card for my computerhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… but im not sure if i have the power supply requirements, can someone tell me if the card works on my computer, the video card says it requires A minimum 300W or greater system power supply (with 12V current rating of 18A)
This is what the label on my power supply says
AC Input (47-63Hz) : 100-127V/8A
200-240V/4A
DC Output +5V --- /25A , +12V--- /19A
+3.3V--- /18A , -12V--- /0.8A
+5VSB--- /2A
+5V & +3.3V SHALL NOT EXCEED 176W
+5V & +12V SHALL NOT EXCEED 268W
Max output Power: 300W|||I wouldn't use that card without upgrading the power supply.
The MINIMUM requirements are 300 watts - that just enough for it to run, not perform well.
Your power supply's MAXIMUM output is 300 watts (and no power supply is 100% efficient) and does not exceed 268 watts (90% efficiency).
You will need a 400 - 450 watt power supply.|||Don't try to do an experiment with your present SMPS,sometimes it may harm your graphics card,so better buy a 500w SMPS or geit from any friend and check it,or take your system to any service centre and they can have high watt smps andplug it and connect all secondary storage and check the display and play games,if it's ok then buy that type,
