Video Card compatible with Motherboard?
I want to buy in 1 month a new video card to replace my old Nvidia Geforce2 MX/MX 400!My motherboard is AGP version 2.0 with transfer rate 4X !I want to buy a ATI Radeon 9600+ Pro or ATI Radeon 9550 and i dont know if they are compatible with my motherboard(ATI Radeon 9600+ Pro and ATI Radeon 9550 ask for transfer rate 8X)!Please help!Thx|||Yes they will work. But why go with one of those? get a newer AGP card.|||I wouldn't recommend spending too much on it. It will work, but this technology is getting quite dated. I'd recommend after upgrading this that your next upgrade be a new machine, honestly. Especially if you do any gaming. You can get a pretty nice system these days for around $500-800. If you've already got a monitor, you can get even more power for the same price, as a monitor usually runs around $150-300.
