Suitable video card for my computer & The Sims 3?

Ok, I need a new video card that will run on my computer as well as The Sims 3.

My computer-

System:

Microsoft Windows XP

Home Edition

Version 2002

Service Pack 3

Computer:

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.50GHz 2.49GHz, 512MB of RAM

I went on http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php and downloaded CPUZ, and under the mainboard tab, it says-

Mainboard

Chipset: SiS 645 Rev.02

Southbridge: SiS LPC Bridge

LPCIO: Winbond W83697HF

Graphic Interface

Version: AGP version 2.0

Transfer rate: 4x

Max. supported: 4x

Side band: not supported

The minimum hardware requirements fo me to play The Sims 3 are:

Windows XP (Service Pack 2)

2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent

1 GB RAM

At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content

128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

I currently only have an NVIDIA GeForce MX 420 (64MB) with no Pixel Shader 2.0 and I only have 512MB of RAM so another 512MB is needed and a new video card for me to meet the requirements.

So, hopefully all that above information can help you determine a new video card for my computer that has the best possible graphics for the cheapest price (I'm hoping around £60) and meets the requirements for The Sims 3.

Sorry that this is such a lenghty post and hopefully I havn't bombarded you with information!

Any help what so ever is GREATLY appreciated as I really want to be able to play The Sims 3 and can't afford to buy a new computer.

Thank you!|||Most cards sold in stores today by nVidia should be compatible with Sims 3.

As you mentioned, you definately want to upgrade your RAM, and you should not buy a 512 MB brick. Go for a new 2GB brick, which can be bought for a very reasonable price in almost every online computerstore.
