I have this new video card, 6870 ATI 1GB(just released) but my frame rate is about 7 fps around other players in World of Warcraft. My latency is 72ms. Other computer specs..... 4 GB RAM, Pentium 4 3.4GHZ with Hyperthreading, 750 Watt PS
I've seen others with 60fps maxed out with much less graphics cards. What is going on?|||"Pentium 4 3.4GHZ" <-- the problem
You've got a fantastic video card, but not enough processor to run it and WoW well. WoW is somewhat cpu demanding, so it's not able to calculate where all the characters and fireballs are fast enough to keep up with the graphics. Upgrade the processor (if possible) and your gameplay will improve to that 60 fps level.|||Well it could be a number of things:
WoW is very depndant on your internet, so it could be internet connection.
Everything is there for you to run everything well. I think everything isgoing slow because of internet.|||The obvious question is, did you install the drivers for that new card? Also, what Internet connection speed do you have? Both will have a major impact on your online gaming.|||you need drivers.
use the disk that came with the card
