Will my PSU power my system if I install an 8800GT video card?

I read that the +12volt 26amp minimum rating is for your entire system with the video card. My computer does not really have that much stuff being powered with my 430watt +12volt 18amp PSU, and I have heard of people being able to run a 8800GT stably with a similar setup to mine.

Can someone tell me if my +12v 18amp PSU will handle a 8800GT 256mb (PCI-E 16x) with my current hardware (nothing overclocked)?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ (125W max thermal power?)

2GB DDR2 800 / PC6400 Crucial Ballistix RAM (1.9v)

320gb SATA II HDD 7200rpm

DVD Burner SATA II

PCI wi-fi card

PCI tv-tuner card|||Single 8800GT, should be no problem at all. Your PSU can handle that system plus a single 8800GT with plenty of room to spare.

You will need a beefier PSU if you want to SLI though. A 8800GT has a maximum power draw of 110W.
