ok I'm not a very big pc gamer but want something that can give me good frame rate with Flight Simulator X. I own a Gateway GT5676. Plenty of RAM and hard drive space. It came with a 256mb ATI Radeon HD3200 video card. looking to upgrade.
Best buy is selling 4 different 1 GB video cards....
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 $599.99
NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT $149.99
ATI RADEON HD3650 OC $99.99
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT $199.99
The only big difference is the clock speed....400MHz to 800MHz. What should I get? (Bang for the buck)...8500GT?? please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!|||the 9800 GX2 will have the most performance (3-4 times the other cards)
but you don't just video card performance by the amount of video ram they have, the core clock and memory bandwidth ans speed are far more important|||before you go to best buy and put down $500 have a look at

when you get a card that large there are other things that you might need to upgrade also

EQ2 & Half Life2 are the type games i play|||Well you shouldn't get any of those because they're ridiculously overpriced. I would recommend something like a 9600GT, but if you don't care about price, the 9800. You should buy online, maybe from Newegg.
