I bought a laptop with a GeForce GT 330M video card. I was told it was a very nice/fast/run your back kind of card (not literally rub your back but pretty much offers a lot). I think someone was just trying to sell me a laptop because.... Whenever I play world of warcraft it’s very... "Jumpy" I guess you could say. The frame rate is 15fps on all low settings. It doesn’t seem like a very graphic intense game which is why I’m kind of shocked. Maybe I got a lemon? My friend told me to uninstall and reinstall the driver for it but that didn’t help one bit.. Any help would be amazing.. Thanks! :D|||I looked up your GPU and it should be able to run WoW, even at max settings, just fine. There's probably an issue with your graphics card, unless your computer possibly doesn't have enough RAM or a good enough processor. I can't imagine your computer having those issues, though, because it's a brand-new computer and with that kind of graphics card it should be a pretty solid computer.
According to this website: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeFo… They benchmarked WoW at 208fps on low settings, and 42fps on high. The salesperson was, for the most part, right when he said it's a pretty nice/fast card. To me, it seems to be a very solid card. If I were you, I'd get the machine looked at and, if they cannot do anything, perhaps even return the computer and get a different one.
Also remember: Laptops are not the best at gaming. If you are a heavy gamer, you should really look into a desktop. Desktops offer easy GPU upgrade options, have better cooling (allows for overclocking), are cheaper (for the most part), and, overall, are just better. Everyone seems to be getting a laptop these days and I really don't know why... Only buy a laptop if you're going to be bringing it around with you a lot!|||Blah. I'm no expert but that low fps on the lowest settings on a new computer? Sounds kind of lemony to me, or at least that part. :(
My 7 year old computer isn't using all the lowest settings, sometimes has a jumpy or stuttery/laggy moment now and then (most often in the areas that just have more going on in the design department, like good old laggy Shattrath) but rarely ever that low, even at it's age it does pretty well most of the time.|||You sell get a new laptop.
