So after browsing the AGP section on Newegg.com, the Sapphire 3850 caught my eye and I wanted your opinion on how it rates:
-Price Vs. Performance
-Performance vs. performance of other cards regardless of price
-What you would recommend
I'm running on an old D865Perl, 1.25 RAM, 80 gigs of space (10 free), with some shitty old Radeon card in it. Would the sapphire suit my computer fine? If not what would? This is the last time I'll probably upgrade the video card on this computer, as AGP seems like the stone age of video cards now.
Any insight is appreciated!|||That is probably the best performance card you are going to find for AGP, so you have made a good selection. As far as performance for price, well you could definitely get a better PCI-Express card for the same price, but that is obviously not an option. You are going to pay more for AGP cards since they are legacy, but keeping that fact in mind you are getting as good a price for performance as you are going to find.|||http://www.ultimatehardware.net/305.htm
Actually, straight to page 2

The 3850 has twice the performance of a 2600XT - it also uses about twice the electrical power, so you may need a better PSU.
Other than that, between a 3850 and a 2600XT at similar prices, there is absolutely no comparison, the 3850 stomps all over it.
