I used to be a pretty hardcore PCgamer, but it has been years since I've had the time to properly put into keeping my gaming mahcine up to date. I'm sure many of you would know what upgrades would most effectively give me an increase without costing me too much. Here are my specs:
AMD 64 x2 Dual Core 4200 2.4ghz
2 gigs ram
XP
GeForce 7600 GT 256mb video memory
Generic sound card since I use USB headphones anyway
I would like to run games like BioShock (which I own but get crappy frame rate) and Rise of Legends (which I can only play on lower settings) and Age of Conan. Will a simple video card upgrade do the trick? What should I upgrade too, anything good for about $150 that would work with my current system specs?
I don't need top of the line, I am mainly curious if its my video card holding me back andif my system can support a better one.|||nvidia 8600+ or amd 3850+
+ 2 gb ram|||get an 8800 or better , 4 GB of Ram and Vista 64 bit
