What are the most important specs for a video card?

I play World of Warcraft (nerd alert, right? haha) and have been getting bad frame rates...I also just got a brand new 22" widescreen monitor and want to be able to use the highest resolution I can use. I don't have a video "card" in my computer, it's an ATI Radeon HD3200 built into the motherboard. I don't think it's all that great, and I want a new video card. So what's important: memory? The number of bits, like 128 bit and what not? If I want to fix frame rate, what kind of card would you suggest?|||Its not all about the video card. What kind of prcessor do you have? How many pci-e slots do you have in your computer? What is your power supply.

Also, you would need to disable you onboard graphics chip before you installed any new video card.|||GPU (ie geforce 9600) and memory (how much and what speed)|||the 2 big brands at war for video card supremecy are Nvidia and ATI either are very good i like Nvidia a lil more but ATI tends to be cheaper

the specs usually labeled on the box of a video card are usually the most important, which are the virtual RAM also steam processors is important and the speed but depending on your motherbard if you have a PCI-E port if so i reccomend a Nvidia 8500GT reliable and affordable

but GOOD LUCK!!!|||if you buy a latest graphic card, you need to have a pci express or pci express 2 motherboard, also a power supply of 450w - 550 w.

consider memory while choosing graphic cards, take no less than 512 mb right now, the more, the better.

I'm a fan of nvidia, i use 8600 gt 512 MB n its plays latest games like cod5 smoothly on my pc. Also your processor clock speed will also matter. Mine is quadcore q6600 2.4 ghz + 2 GB ram.

So before buying a graphic card, you must have a good processor, atleast 1 GB ram, good psu and supported motherboard. Thats almost

everything, lol.

For best, know your pc config and compare video cards and their requirements here,
